About

What is a Model of the European Union?

A Model European Union (MEU) is a simulation of the EU decision-making process. While Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and ministers of the Council of the European Union simulate the ordinary legislative procedure, lobbyists try to influence the two bodies and journalists report on the development of ongoing discussions.

Participating in MEU will not only help you gain a better understanding of the decision-making process of the European Union, but will also challenge you in multiple ways. You will also have a unique opportunity to meet young people from all over Europe and engage in a well-organized and challenging simulation.

The European Youth Agoras (EYA) are online forums to understand how the EU works and address its institutions and its current challenges - themes that will be later approached in Brussels.
